For a few years now, the start of spring classic Gent-Wevelgem has been in the city of Deinze. The race traditionally goes westwards to the coast, then passes over a few classic cols including the famous Kemmelberg and the hilltops of the West Flemish Heuvelland, to finish up in Wevelgem. A race for real Flandriens, with plenty of wind and exhausting stretches of cobblestones.
The race takes place on 25 March 2018. That day there will be no less than 7 cycling races, as apart from the Men Elite World Tour, the Women Elite will also battle it out for the trophy, as well as the promising young riders (beloften), Juniors and various ‘newcomers’. Really exciting for real cycling enthusiasts, we’re sure!
